Bad Bosses, Bad Roommates

I could tell you stories upon stories of roommates but the first one I ever had was the worst. A friend from high school lived a few houses down and she had always had family problems. Tons of them. I didn’t think much of it because she always seemed so well adjusted. So imagine my surprise when she calls me and asks if she can live with me. I still lived with my parents at the time so I had to ask them…my father was against it but my mother didn’t want this girl out on the streets so they agreed.
I had a very small room, the norm for a three bedroom townhouse. But I opened up my space and let her stay in my room, sleep in my bed, the whole nine yards. Come to find out, she smokes weed and boy, did she smoke a lot of it. She would come home just REEKING of weed and alcohol, which pissed me off because if my parents ever found out, I’d be the one to get in trouble. We talked, she told me she would stop. She did it again. We talked, she told me she would stop…she did it again.
This girl actually showed up to my job high as a fucking kite. Fun.
Anyway, we were really close regardless of all this. Then I noticed that she was starting to spend more and more time with my fifteen year old sister. Turns out they were smoking weed together. …Yeah, I was angry about that one.
Time passes, all that good stuff… Then one day, my dad picks me up from work and informs me that this girl is in the hospital. Turns out, she had locked the door to my bedroom and overdosed on her bipolar medication in an attempt to commit suicide. IN MY BEDROOM. MY SPACE. And of course, she puked in my bedroom, all over the floor. Ugh, at least my Mom cleaned it for me..
I tried to visit her in the hospital but I couldn’t since we weren’t family. She gets out, decides to move in with my friend. This friend also lives with her parents and the parents charge her rent. 55 bucks a week isn’t bad at all considering that the girl got a ride to and from work every day… The second friend lived about forty minutes away.
Anyway, things don’t work out and the girl decides that she wants to move back in. My Dad charges her rent, the same amount.. All of a sudden, she’s fired from work and boom, the girl is gone. She left everything she owned in my bedroom, didn’t bother to pay the month’s rent she owed my parents…and went to rehab.
Then she starts to act like I’m the one whose wrong and all that good crap, saying that I’m judgmental, that I forgave too easily for her trying to kill herself in my room.. I could go on and on but needless to say, we aren’t friends anymore.
Oh, did I mention that she constantly flirted with my boyfriend? >:|

Patrece…the girl tried to kill herself and you’re mad bc she did it in your room?? How incredibly unthoughtful of her to do that!! And I’m sure she uked in your room on purpose too. You do sound a little judgemental actually…
