Nina
This isn’t a bad boss story, it’s a bad coworker story. Over the
summer my stepsister (let’s call her Nina) and I got jobs as
park aids in a state park. Nina and I rarely talk so I thought it
would be cool to spend some time together. Unfortunately Nina is the
most spoiled, ignorant, stupid bitch I have ever met. Here are just a
few of the things she has said to me:
- I’m asian so it’s not racist if I call people n*ggers.
- You don’t know how hard my life has been being born in a third world country.
(She was born in Los Angeles, CA, I was born in Ensenada, Mexico. Who
was born in a poorer country?)
- My parents are so poor. (They’re not. She just wanted sympathy.)
- For my birthday I got a car but it wasn’t the right color so I don’t think I’ll drive it.
- I don’t think you should have kids because your mom was an alcoholic so that means you will be too.
- I know you’re Mexican but you can’t just take time off every time
you’re tired. (I was actually at my mother’s funeral)
- Recently she started ending every sentence with “bitch please”.
I told our supervisor (who is my dad) but he said part of life is
dealing with difficult people and to suck it up.

1) If bosses response was indicated, he is a bad boss. Regardless if it’s your dad or not.

Simple. If you have any dark-skinned friends, have them visit and speak to her. After she calles them n*ggers have them complain about her to the bosses, and she’ll get in trouble.
I’m no fan of darkies but they’re useful in situations like this.

Pixie has a good point. A good fucking or two might put her in a much better mood. Part of her problem is that she’s oversexed and underlaid.
Let’s face it, you and your stepsister got the jobs because of your father. You have no right to complain.
By the way, your father’s reply is quite telling – he knows that your stepsister is a selfish bitch, and he’s helping you with a life lesson on how to get along in this world.
Ask him where your car is, since bitchface didn’t like the one that her poor parents gave her.
I like the idea about setting her up with some other minorities and getting her fired. Your dad, although insensitive is right about working with difficult people. The world’s full of them.
“You’ll have to deal with some nasty people” IS a good life lesson. But I agree, OP: if this story IS true, find some not-easily-upset black friends and see if they can get her to call them names, then get her fired for it.
What’s your issue with “darkies,” Les Moore? Don’t like that you have to pick your own cotton? Upset that the guy who runs the local shop added a $20 “asshole tax” to his prices, which he charges you every time you call him a ‘stupid n*gger’ when you see his college paperwork on the counter?

It sounds to me as though your family is in desperate need of divine intervention, story teller, and some intense moral guidance. It is not surprising to hear that such a lost soul comes from a broken home. This is precisely the sort of thing that occurs when marriage vows are not taken seriously.
The dark-skinned folk in my neck of the woods deal drugs and shoot each other, Zephyr. Or at least they did before I moved to the ‘burbs. Now I live in an area free of them.
I got no problem with the ones that are smart. Three of my friends in college were dark-skinned. I just don’t like the ones that go around being thugs, which it seems like is most of ‘em.

Around my area, the white people deal drugs and shoot each other as much as the black people. Crime is about living conditions, location, upbringing, and yes, intelligence; there are people from all skin colors in situations that make criminals. I think you just don’t have enough experience to know (or don’t care) that the stereotype is wrong.
Yes, VERY good point there. Do NOT get a job with family. In most cases I’ve seen, that tends to end up working out badly, for a whole bunch of reasons. I’m sure examples that break that cliche exist, but not getting into such situations, if possible, is a great way to avoid that problem. But if it really IS a huge problem, what do I usually say? Go look elsewhere.
And actually, technically, before black people were considered, stereotypically, to be gang members and criminals, that mantle was held by the Irish.

Dad won’t say shit to her about her behaviour, maybe her husband . brother can tell her to stop being a bitch, and insulting his wife / sister / heritage.

Your dad is right, you are going to have to learn how to handle difficult people at all levels of business. You have to learn how to tell them you don’t care about them and move on with your life.
And for the next funeral, you tell that bitch to sit down, shut the fuck up, and mind her own god damn business, that you were at a funeral and that your life is none of her fucking business.
