Smooth & Creamy
My boss is quite the idiot. She brought in chocolate, peanut butter,
and cream cheese brownies for a co-workers birthday yesterday. I will
admit that they were quite good. An employee came in asked what was in
it, she told him. He joked that he was allergic to peanuts. (He’s
really not, it’s just his weird attempt at being funny). Anyway, she
said, “Oh you don’t have to worry, I made it with creamy peanut butter
not the chunky kind.”

Yeah, I was also wondering if that was just her trying to be funny. I think we all, at times, say something that sounds pretty stupid. I’m pretty good at doing that.

Well, WTF?, the boss would have been an idiot if the employee had been serious about the peanut allergy. Lighten up.
Actually, this was not her weird attempt at being funny. She is an idiot and didn’t realize peanut butter comes from peanuts. She had no idea! Also, this website didn’t post my entire story where I informed her that peanut butter comes from peanuts and would still cause allergies. She said, “oh”. She had no idea. There are several stories about this particular boss on this website, she has since been fired because she is literally that stupid.
Also, WTF? you are an idiot. I am not rude, entitled, ungrateful, nor ill-mannered. If you had to deal with this freak of a woman you would understand. Not many people ate her brownies because many feared she would poison them. I got sick after eating one (not too long after I wrote this story to the website.) No joke. I could have said some really bad shit about her in my story, but decided to not be too mean….so I guess you can go ef yourself. Thanks and good day to you!
what she said actually isn’t that stupid, for some people they’re able to eat smooth peanut butter instead of chunky if they are allergic to peanuts. My sister can and she has an allergy where she cant even get near real peanuts without breaking into hives, but can eat creamy peanut butter.
Yeah I think dumb, non job related mistakes don’t belong here. Everyone can be a ditz about something. Unless your boss did something wrong or purposely malicious/insensitive/illegal that happens to be funny- eh.
And types of creamy peanut butter contain a lot more hydrogenated oils than peanut matter and some people with peanut allergies can eat them as
said.
It’s a slippery slope for women in management positions- everyone wants them to be their mom. When they aren’t but do nice things for their employees anyway they get ragged on.
I always keep my mouth shut when I think my boss(or anyone) is saying something I think sounds really dumb. 40-50% of the time I wasn’t listening and end up being thankful I was considerate because they see my confused expression and elaborate.
I think “bitch” is kind of strong to use on the poster though. In the moment it was probably hilarious for her which is why she posted it. She does come off a little ignorant and ungrateful though. Correcting your boss is unusual unless it’s life or death- which it clearly was not.
Allergies are nature’s way of weeding out the week. /flex
