Young & Dumb
During a second interview, my future boss, a woman, closed by asking,
“Do you have a problem with taking orders from a woman?” I was a bit
confused, not really knowing if it was because I was young that I
didn’t understand the question or if it was just a stupid question.
So my response was, “Not at all, my mother happens to be a woman
too…” She laughed and we became great work friends over the
years.

This is what the site is about! Something humorous to relieve stress. It even says “that’s my boss: stress-relieving humor to cure your workplace woes.” The people that say how that isn’t so bad are obviously looking for something other than humor. They want to criticize someone, anyone, for something, anything and they are willing to do it publicly. Just suck up your friggin’ criticism and enjoy the fact that someone has managed to tell a joke that might manage to make you laugh.

i hope your mother is a woman cause if your mother (as in the sence of the person who gave birth to you) is a man then we have a medical mystery on our hands
Some people (particularly guys) do have a problem with taking orders from a woman, so I don’t think it was that weird of a question on your boss’ part.
